Arnold Schwarzenegger’s unique approach to teaching a ‘Life Lesson’

Arnold Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger has unveiled his strict parenting approach, in which he tossed a pair of his daughter’s shoes into a fire while she watched and cried, all as part of a “life lesson.”

While raising his children, Christopher, 26, Patrick, 30, Christina, 31, and Katherine, 33, whom he shares with his ex Maria Shriver, the Terminator actor employed a strict parenting approach that he deemed necessary as a “life lesson.” He candidly disclosed an incident where he threw his daughter Katherine’s shoes into a fire. This action was prompted by her decision to leave them near the fireplace, despite his prior warnings against doing so.

Arnold shared his story and pointed out how Katherine, who once disapproved of his parenting methods, now employs similar techniques with her own child, Lyla. “The first one is Katherine…As a matter of fact, Katherine comes over with her three year old daughter Lyla and she says. ‘Lyla, I told you don’t leave them there by the stand in front of the fireplace because you know what Daddy did? When i left my shoes there twice? The third time, he burned them in front of me and i cried,”

He also disclosed a past incident where he was driven to frustration and threw his son Patrick’s mattress out of the window because Patrick had neglected to make his bed. Recounting the episode, Arnold described how he opened the balcony door, grabbed the mattress along with the sheets and pillows, and flung them outside. He emphasized the importance of self-sufficiency to his son, saying, “Don’t expect others to clean your room, your shower, or make your bed because I’ve taught you how to do it.”

These parenthood stories emerge following pictures of Arnold spending time with his secret son, Joseph Baena. Joseph was born as a result of an affair between Arnold and the family housekeeper, Mildred Baena. Remarkably, Mildred gave birth to Joseph just five days after Arnold’s then-wife, Maria Shriver, welcomed their son Christopher into the world.
